Microsoft’s Mixed Reality is a new take on VR, bundled into the latest update for Windows 10. Compatible headsets are made to the company’s specifications by a few familiar names, such as Dell, Acer, Lenovo and HP, and sit halfway between the costly, high-end gaming units from Oculus and HTC Vive, and and cheaper, mobile VR from Google’s Daydream and Samsung’s Gear VR.
